While I'm here visiting
Well now that we are all feeling good and have a happy, happy, joy, joy welcoming feeling, I have to say that is a nice Esprit.
I think, if you are autocrossing, you need the torque from the esprit to get it back to speed after slowing for the corners. With the S or other cars you mentioned you probably don't need to slow as much through the corners as was mentioned above. Keep the rpms up and carry the speed. If it is bogging down then you are not keeping the rpms up enough.

I've driven a friends S2000 in autocross. I am disappointed of lack of torque specially in autocross where you have to stop and go.
That's ignoring the facts, for example:2004 SCCA National Autocross Championship in Topeka, KS
For the second year in a row Jason Saini won the championship. The S2000 claimed the top 16 spots and made up 73% of the field (36 of 49) !!

Before the Lotus exported the Elise, they sent some questionaires to some Lotus Fanatics (I got one). I personally voiced my disapproval of using the Toyota engine. I told them I will not buy an Elise unless its powered by Honda S2000. Its not because the Toyota is bad but I sincerely believed the S2000 is more functional to be the powerplant of an Elise. The Elise is very light and there will be no torque issue using the S2000. I am so high with this engine the reason I choosed to use it in my Lotus 7. This will be a monster performance to 950lbs car turbo or no turbo. I am still browsing your big database and appreciate all those compiled informations.
"Jason Saini won the championship!! "
I don't doubt this, but as I mentioned before some of the autocrossing I've been, held in the parking lots where space is very limited, therefore stop and go will be the issue. I bet Jason Saini goes to a very wide track layout.

A guy comes on with a differant sort of car, and shares his opinions on his experience with an S2000, and mostly good at that, and he has to be berrated about it?
I know winters coming, but please leave this shit behind
