Thanks for visiting lotus - I hope Internet posts do not deter you from further looking at the S2000

Please come here and praise it anytime

I swear we're going to have to start having an entrance exam to post on here because of all the negativity and just rude posts I've seen happening lately.

You're building an F20C powered Clubman? Why didn't you say so:

I personally thnk the Elise should use be running a K series engine from the Civic Type R like the Ariel Atom.
Thanks AUS2000
I will take anything I can get. I printed and compiled all articles that deals with fitting an S2000 to the clubman.

I will turbocharged the s2000.
Hey after all, I can find one turbo in my graveyard

Thank you all...I appreciate all your help, let me know if I can help in the future.
I will be proud of your S2000 engine. I will make sure no one will "ever poke my eyes" in the traffic light. This will be extreme setup. I will carry your flag.

Yeah, what's with all you people ? The man simply posted his opinion...and it was mostly praising the S. I don't get it.

I found one under my bonnet:

I can't imagine what this set up would be like in a Clubman. Everytime I drive to the Clubman factory they shout, "Here comes the donor-car".

I've driven a friends S2000 in autocross. I am disappointed of lack of torque specially in autocross where you have to stop and go. However, I saw him drove the car in Limerock (club racing) and very impress the way it holds with the big guns. I think road race where you don't need to fully stop and go, the car shines specially in the twist and bends. I must admit the car is far better than: Audi TT, Mr2, WRX, Miata, Z3 BMW & strongly believed better than the Porsche Boxters too (some might disagree). The power is ok but Honda can put a little bit more and this car is 10 !
It's quite well known that the F20C and F22C1 engines have less torque below 6000rpm than they do above, so if you get caught at lower revs you only have about 90% of the acceleration you do when on the high cam. However, given the nature of S2000 gearing and the general layout of autocross courses (both tight and open) it's never really been much of an issue. Although if you're really used to a car with a different sort of power delivery, I can understand the feeling. I don't agree that it's a problem, however. If you spend some additional time in the car, your opinion of its abilities at autocross might change.

(Although I too would like more power. Not for any specific track/auto-x/street reason, just because of the grin factor. 2800lbs and about 320hp would be a perfect upgrade. )

What the hell is wrong with you people some times?

A guy comes on with a differant sort of car, and shares his opinions on his experience with an S2000, and mostly good at that, and he has to be berrated about it?

I know winters coming, but please leave this shit behind

you know, the car has been out in the market for 7 years now. It is bound to happen. Can't expect the same degree of maturity that once was no issue here at S2ki.com

What can you do. Or perhaps, you moderators can just slap the crap out of these rude posters and even revoke their membership. That might work.
