Ugly?...No... You want ugly, look for at z3 or z4.
Z4 comes in my dream too many times these days!!!
Why did they have to give it a facial job to turn ogre to a sexy beast?
I can give up my S for MY06+ Z4.
Hm...maybe not. I think i still want my S....
The S 2000 has lines designed around the classic front engine sports car formula. It looks dated the way a Jaguar XK 140 and Austin Healy look dated. S 2000 designers didn't fall into the trap of going with any "current trendy" styling clues. Put it this way -- the S 2000 looks far less dated than any car that made its initial appearance in 2000!

Why even post a question like this? I'll answer, although I don't think I should, by saying the car is a classic. It will still be striking well into the future. I think you're bored or right on the verge of trolling.

for the millionth time, im not on the site to bash the car. i love the car. to say ugly was an overstatement. i meant to say not as good looking as some of the prettiest.
in any case, keep the flames coming. the weather is kinda cold over here.
I feel that the S2000 is the most aggressively-styled in the Honda line, and that doesn't go far with Honda, who has been (sauf the NSX) always been a bit soft in design antics (although the Ridgeline is pushing the envelope in several respects).
In deciding between an S, an '06 MX-5, a Z, a Sky, and an Audi TT, the S was on the bland side of pure style, but definitely more attractive than the MX-5 and the TT (although I like the newer version much better).
I'd have to disagree with the post that states that the designers of exotics do not have design as their top priority. I would wager that it is just as important to them as the performance of the car. The fastest and best handling non-production cars in the world put style and design on the bottom of things to accomplish, but when I look at a 599 GTB Fiorano, a Murcielago, or a Carrera GT, my heart races and I stand amazed at their beauty. I mean, Ferrari got chastised at the debut of the 612 Scaglietti because many people disliked the design. The thing was a strong performer, but without looks, it was like some beauty queen from "Drop Dead Gorgeous"...hard to live with (although, in terms of sales, the design flaws were helped by the performance of the car to sell all that were initially built).
Anyhow, to end my tirade, I like the styling of the S in its simplicity and honesty. However, I long for a 55mm/75mm width Tracy Motorsports widebody kit (the current kit is a wee bit skinny!).
