Default Who uses the boot?

I haven't even used the boot yet on my new car, and I'm wondering if I ever will. Does anyone ever use these except when going out for some major profiling?

I have it stored in the storage. I really love the looks when it's on but it's too much hassle to put it on. I thought of leaving it in the trunk but that would take up too much room. I wish honda made the car so that when the top is down, it looks like boot cover is on.

I use it almost every time I put the top down. Once you have put it on a few times, it only takes 60 seconds. It looks nicer and helps protect the top from dust and debris.

I seem to remember that old Miatas required using their boot, or the sun would degrade the inside of their top. I don't know if this is an issue with the S2000 or not.

I used to use mine the first week or two that I got my car, but I haven't used it since. Takes to long to put on and take off and it leaves no room in the trunk.

Its sitting inside my wife's Xterra Been there for a few months

Hardtop ON or OFF with boot cover ON or OFF with hardtop ON. Starting to confuse with ON and OFF?

Keep mine on when the top is down which is 90% of the time. Use a cover at work to protect the interior. The boot takes less than 3 min. to put on or off. Not much effort for a much better look and protection for the top when it is down.

I use mine all of the time. It really protects the inside of the top from the sun and dust/debris. I had a problem with it not staying down, but I adjusted the stops myself (per TSB 01-038) and now the top sits lower in the roof well and the boot stays tucked in. It only takes 1-2 minutes to put it on, and it's worth taking the time to protect the plastic window.

It sits on the shelf unless we are possing for pictures, otherwise it's useless IMO. Also, I find the strapes are noisey (buzzing sound) at speed. Unless your car sits out all day long, every day, with the top down -- how can the sun, etc. harm the top when it's stored? More than likely, if you do use it as a daily driver the top is up and exposed to hte sun, etc. anyway.

Steve,

Any info on how to adjust those tabs? I use mine all the time, but have to re-tuck the cover at every stop. Very frustrating. Had the boot replaced by the dealer with the same results. In any case I find it easy to put on, but a pain to reach under the boot to take it off.
