I've never used the boot in the past year and 12,000 miles, nor do I plan to use it in the future. I'd sell it, but who would buy...lol. Actually, I'll just turn it in on the lease with the car and get a new one to never use...hehe.

Last used for S2K Days in Ashville, probably come back out of storage for the Carolina Coastal Run.

The only time my top is up is to wash the car so I leave the boot on almost all the time. It's not the easiest thing in the world to put on/take off but it does protect the lining and stripping of the top and leaves the car looking much better finished.

Used it the first week I got my 2000 S2000 (6/00) and that was it. Now stored in garage.

I left mine off for most of the first year that I owned my car, since I wanted to put the top up whenever I parked. After looking at other S2000's driven regularly without the boot and all the dirt that has accumulated in the folded top, I decided to take the extra minute or so and put the boot in place whenever I can. I would rather keep everything clean than save a minute.

Now I rarely raise the top and just put the Honda car cover on it with the top down. I don't really park it anywhere that I'm worried about people getting into the car and I never keep anything in it worth stealing anyway.

I never really use mine , only on long trips.. The trunk is just too small to carry around everyday..

I use mine... for my ferret to sleep in most of the time. It's sitting on the floor in my bed room, where it has been since I bought the car.

I used to never use it but got hooked this summer. Keeps the inside of the cover clean and looks tons better. On the down side, you can't flirt with rain clouds as much. I got nailed once cause I forgot I had to boot on and couldn't raise to top quickly.

Junkyard Dawg:

I had my dealer fax me a copy of the TSB and it is now posted in the Library section of this site. Click on Library at the top of the page, then on Service Bulletins.

It only took me less than 1 hour to do. The only special tools you need are a 12mm crows foot wrench and a stubby ratchet.

This is a great fix for the boot cover. It makes the top sit lower in the roof well.

I use the boot cover all of the time. The only time my top is up, is when I wash the car. When I park the car at work, I put on a cockpit cover, which does not take much time to put on. If I need trunk space or when it rains, I drive my Camry.
