initially i didn't want to bother with the hassle of putting it on and off whenever i stopped somewhere, but after an incident when someone smoking in my car through her cig bud out it flew into my folded top and almost burned a hole through. Ever since that incident i use my tonneau cover religiously. SHIT HAPPENS, USE PROTECTION!!!!!COVER IT UP!!!

just a heads up to those who's top sticks up more then it should. when putting the top down the bar above your head needs to be pushed back. over the years the straps wear out and the bar doesn't fold itself back. if this bar is pushed back into position. the top will fold back and sit in it's cubby flatter. also when the bar is pushed back it's alot easier to put the tonneau cover on.

i tried it a few times, but on the freeway the small elastics vibrate like crazy and annoy me. and when putting the top down takes ~6 seconds, getting out of the car and taking 2 minutes feels like a chore.

Put the straps on with a twist. It stops the buzzing noise. What's happening is that the wind at around 50 mph vibrates the strap like the reed in a woodwind instrument. Twist the strap and the noise goes away.

Someone on this board years ago suggested taking the snaps off of the straps and putting them on 108 degrees off, so that it's impossible to put the snap on without 1/2 turn in the strap. It does work.
