I got my used my03 back in september. I did notice the spacers when I put on all season tires, but I thought they were there for reason so I just left them alone. Last night I was browsing through the forums and stumbled upon this thread.

Here are the pics:

12 full spring spacers on a 55K mile S2000.
After removing them, the ride is so much more softer.

Picked up an '05 with a 17,900 on the clock 1000 miles later after some comments about ride height, jacked it up and pulled the tires.

Found 14 spacers! 5 in each of the front springs and 2 in each of the rears. Car drives completely different now.

Cannot believe some of the stories that are emerging in this thread, especially with the 55k and 130k cases!! Makes me paranoid about mine... I don't remember there being any but then I never checked purposely for them... will have a look just to make sure

My 2001 had 58,000 miles on it when I bought it. I found the spacers still in it when I put the Koni shocks on.

Purchased car new on 7/2002
Found 1 spacer on 3/2009

It was on the left front, neatly hiding between the shock body and the inner fender wall. I checked for spring spacers when the car was new, and this one was so well hidden I never saw it until I removed the shock.

I just found one of these bastards in my front drivers side spring. I can't believe after 65k miles (time the previous owner had it) nobody took the damn thing off. I wanna kick the dealership who recieved this car in the nuts

i just tell people to get aftermarket springs. takes any worry away

but at least you guys with spring spacers have preserved your suspension and body roll must be eliminated!

Just found another half a spacer on the other front spring I hope removing them doesn't throw off my alignment or anything.
