Who's using Mobil One on their S2000?
I'm at 15K. All Castrol GTX so far.
Now I've got a case of Mobil One 10w-30 sitting in the garage.
For those who have been using Mobil One, you say the car runs smoother. VTEC engagement isn't as pronounced. Not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing for performance.
There's been discussion that the F20C was designed to burn oil and since synthetic is much less prone to burning anything, we need to kinda think this through a little bit.
Who likes Mobil One and won't go back to dino oil? Who's gone the Mobil One route, but then switched back to natural?

I am at 5000 miles and switched over to Mobil 1 at 3000. The dealership did the first oil change and they stated that the S2000 is suppose to get the Mobil 1 from now on. Not sure how true that is but I am glad they have it.
I do feel that the engine is smoother and feel that the VTEC is not as pronounced but I have no issues with the performance. My theory on the VTEC is that the Mobil 1 brings up the lower power band closer to the upper power band.

Think about this for a minute. Do you think the public would buy a car that was produced to burn oil? I think not! Yes the Mobile is smoother it lubricates far better. Yes, I've been using it since about 3500m and I haven't looked back since. I don't burn any oil at all between changes and I have 14K on the car now. I even Prolonged the car for added security. I think an automobile that runs at 9000 rpm needs as good of lubrication as it can get. i'm not saying that running a premimum dino is bad. I would just make sure that I was changing it every 2500-3000 miles religiously. As it is with Mobile 1, I've let it go to 4k once and it was just as clean as the day I put it in. Your choice though! Just my opinion!

I use Mobil 1 in everything I own, even my lawn mower(especially in the mower because I always forget to change it) gets the good stuff.
For the price you just can't beat it. It really is a good product. The real question is what weight to use. Honda recommends 10w30 but I use 0w30 in everything but the S2000.
0w30 has increased the mileage by 1-2 mpg in my other cars. I'm just not 100% sure it has the film strength for maximum protection at 9000rpm in a big motor. I have used it in my racebikes for quite awhile without any failures but those engines where overhauled once a year...not something I want to do on the S

I'm 300 klicks away from 15K klicks. Been running on regular oil till now. Just bought a load of Mobil 1 5W30 for winter running. I'll go to 10W30 Mobil 1 when Spring comes back. I've used Mobil 1 in all my previous cars.
