Why aren't you daily driving your S2000?

My S2000 is a sunny day car only, and not for commuting to work as I work in Queens, NY. People park by feel around here, so it will be destroyed in a matter of days. I also have a bmw 135i which I try to use as a daily, but ultimately got rear ended the other day (rear bumper cover is all it needs, but still), so back to my old CRV.... No fun, but no problems and I don't really care if they bump into me.

I want to keep my S in good condition. I live in a rural area. I have a commute that I suspect most people here would die for. It is a terrific drive in the S. Also, there are dozens and dozens of terrific drives for the S all around me. In fact, pretty much wherever I go there is an alternate route that involves a wonderful drive for a sports car or motorcycle. I'm lucky for that. I'm not sure I would own an S if I lived in the city. But, here in Vermont, it is pure joy.
We have 4-5 months of deep winter. My S is stored all winter. In late spring, summer, and early fall I drive it a lot, whenever the weather is expected to be decent, and wherever I happen to be going that day. In winter, and when the weather is bad, I drive my pickup. I also tend to take the pick up if the trip of the day needs to involve a long drive on the interstate. The truck is more comfortable and practical for that.

I daily drive mine. For me, life’s to short to spend time commuting in a “boring” car. I’d much rather be getting up early for work and drive the S2000, it makes going to the grocery store fun. Need me to go pick something up? Sure, I love driving it

I do!
I have a carport, and I park it in a garage at work and whenever I can find one elsewhere. I have a reverse commute so there's no real stop and go traffic. Recently installed a roll bar, I think I've crossed that line and would like to have another daily driver.

I don’t dd my s2000 because I’m old now and the car is not confertable. When I was in my 20s I could drive the car in stop and go traffic all day every day and drive 100+miles a day and it would not bother me one bit. Now I just can’t do that any more. That job is for my 500+whp bmw 335i. The s2000 gets driven at nights, on weekends and on days when I know I won’t be stuck in traffic and on day I know I would be driving 100+ miles.

I don’t find the S2000 to be a particularly enjoyable car to commute in. Especially because my job has me taking a lot of short trips visiting clients. Also, I’m 6’5” so yeah I like something with a bit more space for daily usage.
If if I had s regular office job, then I’d use the car as a daily on occasion.

I hate driving my S2000 through stop and go traffic. It's a convertible, so by default its not practical. It lives in my garage, and has probably been the most reliable car I own, but I'd rather sacrifice others to the salt gods and stupid drivers than the S2000.
