Default Why Blow?

I have become rather curious over the reasons why people are interested in supercharging and tubocharging this car...

I'd like this thread to have your explanation as to why you are, if you are, or why you aren't going to go FI. I will reserve, even though you may already know, my opinion until later if it becomes relevant to make it known again...

So, for everyone, what are your reasons, SPECIFICALLY, for wanting to boost your F20C? What do you do with the car that will make this something that you would find value in? Do you run the car on road courses? If so, has it improved your lap times? Or are you more concerned with street racing or 1/4 ET's?

Also, are you concerned with the drivetrain not being able to handle the additional power and, if so, what steps have you taken to make sure that there is no failure in that part of the car? And are you concerned with long-term viability of such a system on your engine?

And if you are NOT going FI, what is your reasoning? Is it because it's too pricey? Is it because of some other reason? I want both sides in on this discussion...

I'm not passing judgment here, by any stretch of the imagination...I'm really just curious as to your rationale for adding these types of modifications. I couldn't care less what anyone does to their own S2000...I'm really just curious about this.

So, this has a real possibility of getting heated...keep it civil, as both "camps" in this "debate" are passionate about their persepective. But I am really interested in this and I hope that it stays open long enough to have a healthy and honest debate about it...

Ready, set...GO!

I'm gonna call 9-1-1 and prep the firemen....

FYI -- I'm a strong NA supporter. I just don't believe this car was ever meant to run boost. The high-comp, high-rev engine supports this claim, IMO.

If I were interested in running boost (which I am!) I would get a WRX or RX-7. Something that started out with turbo, and always had turbo in mind.

Not going FI cause the comptech supercharger costs about $4500 more then I have. Don't need it anyway. It would be fun to have a supercharger, don't get me wrong, but I don't go to the dragstrip and I'm not trying to impress anyone.

You bet I would, who wouldn't? Even though it wouldn't be needed as the S2000 already has enough acceleration for me, more is better.

hmmm.....I wonder what my pal Bieg will have to say on this subject. My prediction 8 responses after Bieg posts his opinion this thread will be locked. No slam on Bieg his posts have a way of bringing out the best and worst in others.
