Default Why cant the speedo keep up?

When you run your s2000 hard it skips numbers like 10-16-24mph etc.

But on a video game it counts every one and its so fast.

I dont understand how a production car of the S2000s value really doesnt keep up. I konw that the video games use a sensor on the car that shoots downward and mesasures how fast the ground is moving under the car. Opposed to the s2000 which uses rotational tire movement to calculate the speed.

Maybe the video game just shows every number even though it may not be accurate. I don't know.

I always thougt it was fun to watch the speedo trying to keep up though.

It makes the speedo easier to read. I think they intentionally manipulate the display response.

/\ That does make sense, still I wish there was a way to have it not be delayed

Are you comparing video games to real life?

I think it's on purpose, imagine if you were traveling at 70.5 mph, it would alternate between 70 and 71 superfast and It would probably look pretty annoying, haha

Exactly. It's a deliberate choice for display response time.

Resolution/response time on the sensors is low. Probably keeps costs down, and yes, it would be obnoxious to see it basically glowing "88" when accelerating hard.
