Honda made it that way. Not because the sensor/display is limited, its just has a slow refresh rate.
1. LCD can flash numbers pretty fast. Look at your RPM display, pretty quick. How about those LCD timers you see during gaming events.
2. The sensor (VSS) is at the tranny, it doesn't care about how fast your wheel/tire is spinning.
Just wanted to clarify the misinformation. Like others said before, its deliberate.

Like others have said, this is deliberate and required, and much more conventional. My RX8 did the same thing, as has every digital dash I have seen in the past.

Love the Knight Rider speedo though. Would be nice to have an LCD readout with both options.
