Main reason : affordability for such a great car.

 

Wow, for those of you who didn't even test drive or knew anything about the car but bought it anyways, in my opinion, that is kind of risky. I don't think I can ever buy a car without knowing something about it, and test driving it. Anyway, it is also my dream car. If I had to design a car, it would come out looking very similar if not exactly like it is right now. If the S2000 had a Porsche badge, it would easily cost $50,000 grand. It has better build quality and reliability, equal looks and performance of the Boxster S. So, at $30K, it is a bargain and the Boxster starts to feel like you are just paying for the badge, but a $20K premium? Nothing wrong with paying for the name only, but I'd rather have the savings. I think Porsche and BMW definately lost a good number of potential buyers of their roadsters to Honda from reading all the posts.
