I just want to start a discussion on this. I have always wondered about it.

Probably because Americans like unfolding maps out on the side of the road and looking lost .

Personally, I wouldn't want it if it was an option. I'm glad we don't have a compass or a clock (on an AP1). In the grand scheme of the design of the car, it just wouldn't fit too well.

I think most folks would be more excited over a +20hp engine option package at the same price as a navigation system.

Probably because they had their hands full dealing with all the Americans whining about low torque and they were busy trying to resolve the problem, which was never a problem...

And nothing says raw quite like the new CR

Seriously, Honda listens... the CR is so raw people can't look at it because it makes them feel queasy... A/C... NO!... Stereo... NO! Navigation... N-Wait... that might be useful out on the track!

P.S. When you read CR in the above post, please add on the new Championship White Volks with the red lip instead of the factory wheels. I think that really makes it look less ridiculous and almost cool.

I think it takes away from the essence of a roadster.

Yea, I don't buy the whole "it's raw" idea. The Japanese are just as much into cars as we are... if not more. I don't see why we couldn't have this option.

I would have loved it. I had to spend thousands of dollars to do to my S2000 what the folks in Japan can get OEM.
