Why didn't Honda give the US Navi?

I've wondering about this too. I watched some of the Hot Version videos and I saw they have a little box on the dash. I thought it was a navi, but unsure. I would love to have a navi on my car. I get lost all the time

[QUOTE=nastinupe1,Sep 21 2007, 02:06 PM] Yea, I don't buy the whole "it's raw" idea.

IF A DAMN CIVIC CAN HAVE NAVI, WHY CAN'T WE?!?!?!?!?

Sorry for yelling, but that really gets me sometimes. My car is twice the cost, but the Civic has the navi in it.

THAT is not Honda's Navi, that is some Radio Shack special.

Ummmm.

This system is 100% Alpine, which is what Honda uses in the first place. I don't think that Radio Shack sells Alpine Navi's and touch screen units.

That is pretty cool! I never used the navi in my accord though, and very rarely use it in the hybrid.

The system you posted sticks off the dash like a zit and is not OEM. You might as well just duct tape a monitor to your dash for as good as that looks.

What you posted is not OEM. I'm just correcting you and showing you what OEM really looks like.

A big reason would be because in the Japanese market more cars are ordered, in the US market almost all of the cars are shipped here, and held in stock at a dealer to be sold at the lot, so it's high risk to put a $3000 option in a car that some may want but might not sell. This is the kind of risk that dealerships don't want to take on low volume cars.
