Default Why do I have two rear windows???

Can someone please tell me the purpose of the plastic "window" between the role bars. I figure its to satisfy some law, somewhere, that requires a rear window. Am I close?

Thanks,
stevel

That is a wind deflector not a window. It is used to cut down on wind turbulence in the cabin when the top is down.

Its a wind deflector for when you have the top down.

I wasn't really complaining about the wind, just the fact that the OEM wind deflector doesn't do its job.

True, it was an afterthought. Even the tall ones don't seem to block much air in my experience, unless you have the windows up and the lexan (Major Havoc) blockers in. Then I was doing well at 80mph.

Last night I cruised home at around 120kmh and tried putting the deflector up and down to see the difference. It sure does help somewhat, but I also had the side windows down at the same time. Without the deflector, you can feel a lot more wind behind you pushing on your head.
