Believe it or not, here in GA, trucks and huge SUV's try to do that... Not Porsches's, not BMW's, not ricers, but Escalade's, Envoy's, and F250's... Do they think that their 3 tons of hunk of metal have any chance next to an S2000 ???
You'd surprised. Those diesel trucks can move when modded.

Its funny because I get it all the time. I always drive on the toll road I drive in the fast lane try not to go 5-10 mph over. Well anyone that gets behind me must think my car is extremely slow and no matter what they always seem to speed up to pass me. It really pisses me off because you and I both know if we really wanted to we could whip their ass and there is not a damn thing they could do about it.

actually not just in HK mate. Happens to me all the time in Toronto. Been noticing a lot of that this yr. I've had cars tailgate me. I had an MB S600 tailgate me and then proceeded to gun to well past 150km/h just to "leave me behind" when all I did was ramp it up to passing speed and then moving back over to the slow lane.... very odd. Then there were several other beemers and the like who felt like they needed to show off their powa.

The pole-ees do not like you to begin with. You are driving a car that intimadates other drivers who would not be exceeding the limit or breaking the law if it weren't for you. When you encounter these otherwise law abiding citizens, immediatly pull to the side of the road and wait till the danger passes. These guys can only cause you trouble and put you in a situation in which you will not be able to explain and possibly be given the benifit of a doubt. These benifits will automatically be given to the other driver. This car rates one step above outlaw biker status and the little emblem on your polo shirt may mistakenly identify you as an outlaw gang member. Beware.

I'm having a hard time understanding this. Why do people always speed pass me when they see my car? As in, they would start gunning the car and blow pass me on streets when I'm just driving at speed limit going home at night?

Just now I was on my way home and saw a GTR in front driving slowly. Then he stopped to pay for toll to go into the tunnel. I have an electronic toll tag, and just drove past the toll booths (and the GTR). So I drove @ 80km/h (the speed limit) towards the tunnel, and this GTR just gunned it all the way. His car was LOUD, sounds like he's got some loud aftermarket exhaust, and it actually sounded like a Ferrari towards redline!

Anyway, by the time he caught up, he was probably doing somewhere around 150km/h -- if I counted correctly, he was at the end of 3rd gear shifting into 4th gear. Then he went on and went to somewhere in 5th gear before braking so hard(so that he won't hit the cab in front) that his car was fishtailing a little and almost crashed into the cab.

I drove past the GTR again @ 80km/h (the cab driver probably figured out the GTR was fricken nuts, so the cabbie slowed down). The GTR looks like it was tailgating the cab, but didn't want to change lanes at first because the tunnel had double solid white lines ... after I got a bit ahead of him, the GTR downshifted to a low gear and gunned it again. This time his was changing lanes left and right in the middle of the tunnel ... he clearly didn't sound like he's a good driver, because it sounded like he was dabbing the throttle even through turns. Luckily his car is quite bulletproof and can take that kinda rough inputs, but even so, from behind, I really felt like he's gonna crash ...

Anyway ... he went really far again (probably hitting somewhere in 4th or 5th gear again) and I could hear that he upshifted and probably slowed down, because I could no longer hear his exhaust.

Things like this happen from time to time when I'm just driving normally at night. And it's clear that those drivers are gunning their cars after they saw me. I have seen M3s, 997s, etc ... doing that to me. As a matter of fact, a 997 GT2 did that to me as well. I mean, it's clear that:

a. his car is much faster
b. I most likely won't pick a street race given that I'm driving @ the speed limit

Anyhow ... I'm just wondering ...
well ks320 my friend, I'm going to tell you something an old wise man once told me, he said " get boost yO!"

People seems to act strange when they see an S2K. I get trucks gunning pass me for some reasons like I want to race them or something. Bet you they don't do that with other roadsters.
