Default Why doesn't anyone manufacture the clear corner insert for our headlights??

Seriously??! How hard can it be?

The only thing holding me back from doing the clear corner mod is the fact that it looks so damn cheap without a reflector in there. And I'm not about to go pay 900 bucks for whole new headlamps either.

I'm sure whoever designs one first will make a killing. Riiiiick?? Muuuz??? Hello???

Maybe there's something overly complicated that goes into the design of a reflector; I really don't know... But I'd assume that it could be molded out of one of our orange reflectors and then mass produced (well not mass, but you know).

Sooo helloooo?? Would anyone like to make a lot of money??? We will give you money. MONEY.

You know that's not a bad idea. If I had the ability to do it I would. So come on someone fix it.

I think the problem is that setup costs for injection molding are high (in the tens of thousands of dollars). At least one member tried another method, but I guess it didn't turn out to be practical.

I wonder if it would be possible to buy the parts somehow in Japan?

I agree that whoever can supply these will find lots of customers...

I'd be the first in line if someone would just make them.

totally agree i don't like the unfinished look of the lens-less turn signals either.

i'll bet you can order clear lenses alone from honda japan. a buddy of mine picked up my clear side markers over there and all the parts came seperately. i may ask him if i can get original honda clear jdm turn signal reflectors. i'm sure there's a unique part number.... never thought of it until now..... hmmmmmmm.

btw, i've seen a bunch of the aftermarket sidemarkers and the quality isn't as good as orig honda. i think the turn signal lens would be much more difficult to manufacture and get "right" at an affordable price.

OK Rick/Muz start it up and we'll start a group buy.

I'll seriously give $200 to the person who can give me the JDM clear corners, so I can replace the orange ones myself.

I'm pretty sure clearcorners.com has been mentioned before, but has anybody done business with them?
