Where did all the little cry-baby kiddies come from in the past two weeks? I see more and more posts on S2000 vs. ??? and all they turn out to be is crying sessions on why the S2000 can't compete with ???

GO trade in your car right now for one of these other competitors and allow someone that can truly appreciate the S for what it is the chance at buying it and owning it. Don't come here and cry like a little high school biatch complaining about the lack of horsepower from your naturally aspirated engine while you compare it to one that is turbocharged. Oh Lord why did you make all the lamers that exist in this world?

Honda afraid??

For you to make this statement Nastinupe you clearly show you have no clue as to what Honda is all about as a company. Pick me one car out of the tired list of tire roasters you listed in your response above and find just ONE that is a low emissions vehicle. You have absolutely no idea about Honda's mission as a company and have no understanding of their heritage in general. Please do us all a favor; go buy a V8 and shut the hell up about your lack of torque and horsepower. You have to be the most hypocritical person on this forum. This is you...

The driver wanted to race, but I wasn't about to. My racing days are over.
and then three posts later Sybil comes out and posts this...

Well, almost every other automaker is. And that goes for BMW (M3, M5), Jaguar (Type S R Type), Mercedes (anything AMG), Audi (S4), Misu. (Evo VII), Subaru (WRX Sti), Chevy (Comaro SS, Corevette Z06), Dodge (Neon SRT). And the list goes on... And apparently this approach is selling cars.
Get over your small penis complex, buy a tire roaster, and go race already. You pretend that you are not all about racing when you are clearly consumed with it. Please stop wasting webspace posting pointless topics like this.

Let's suppose I build "widgets". I build lots of widgets and I build 'em real good. I sell 'em in my own city and I sell 'em to people in other cities. People everywhere own my widgets. Then, one day, I build a "heavy duty widget". Not everybody needs one but all the heavy duty widgets I make get sold, many in my own city but mostly to those in other cities. The orders keep coming in and the number I feel comfy with making all get sold and it impresses others enough that it helps me to sell more of my "ordinary widgets". I am happy.
Soon, I start to make my "heavy duty widget" with an electric start for a few people in my own city because it would be nice to see them around. People in other cities hear of this better widget and want it but that doesn't stop more of them from buying all the "ordinary heavy duty widgets" that I send them. I am still happy and don't have the need or the desire to send them my "special" widget because I don't have the need or the desire to make any extra ones. Besides, my "ordinary widget" sales are doing just fine.
WHAT AM I AFRAID OF?

Chiming in 'cause.... I can.

My S2000 is my first Japanese-badged car- ever. We were looking for an SUV or -gasp- a minivan. Don't ask! BTW, we were not looking at said vehicles from the imported manufacturers! Long story short: I saw the S2000; I drove the S2000; I bought the most expensive car I've ever owned- the S2000.

With so many of you talking about hp-this and torque-that, have you ever driven the S2000, top down, through winding country roads? If you had, you would know the true spirit of this special vehicle. If you have ever taken advantage of any meets organized for our S2000's, then you would know the sense of pride and comraderie that is shared. So many people still ask what kind of car I have. Most didn't realize that Honda made such a vehicle.

As I said before: this is my first import. It is my first convertible. I'm in love. I've babbled too long(we're snowed in).

xviper,

Green tea is coming out of my nose as I type. Priceless analogy with the widgets.
