Why is my car not selling? HELP
Ok... i am usually pretty good about pricing things right to sell stuff (just look at how quickly i sold all of my aftermarket mods).
My freaking S2000 is just about perfect w/ 23k miles (garage kept, 1 owner, no paint work, new tires, returned to all stock)...and I have advertised it in both the newspaper (which is a decent sized newspaper) and the local 300+ page Auto Locator (similar to autotrader).... i have internet ads in Yahoo, excite and possibly other places that I have forgotten.
I started asking $27,500 then went to $26,900 and now have dropped it to $26,500 obo.... AND....NO BITES at all..... only 1 guy has even come to look at it, and I think he just wanted to ride in one, as he didn't even care to drive it.?
Any suggestions on how to sell this damned thing? I sold my Shogun in about 1 week.
thanks - Scot

I've had excellent results with selling inexpensive cars (<$5k) by your methods, but I think it's much more difficult to sell an expensive car this way. The best thing to do is to advertise as much as possible - this may require spending some bucks to do properly.

I'll give you $25,500. I live in ohio... Let me know if you want me to come pick it up. s_waldrop@hotmail.com... Do you still have those wheels with it? Oh yea.. how fast does it go in reverse again?!?
I just saw a 2001 Red with only 5000 miles on it at the price of $26,500. I saw it in one of those local auto-classified mags that you can pick up at Blockbuster....
What gives on the low resale prices?

Not to be insulting, but sales and pricing are impacted supply and demand. Both will vary quite a lot so a good strategy may just need time. The trend right now is for slower car sales and roadster sales always taper off in the fall.. especially in the northeast. You can always force a sale on your own timing but it will cost you money.
