Why is my car not selling? HELP
Hell, i thought i was forcing the thing into someone else's hands at $26,500.....but... i guess... i was... wrong....
I never expected to find a seller on these boards (look ma, it does 161 forward and 48 in reverse.....also ma, you can lock the cruise control in first and go for a hell of a bucking ride...what a hoot)....hehehehehehehe
Thought I would have some decent luck selling it to the unknowing though.
It has been for sale for well over a month now, so I didn't wait until the very end of the summer...

I think the Megabusa is going to be plenty fun, and somewhat safer...plus I can take one of my kids (don't care for one of my kids to attempt to hang on the back of a motorcycle just yet).
Ivs2k - I don't have a carmax.... i tried a decent amount of local dealers....no takers.... not sure what the local auction would bring..

scot,
as you may know...
historically it's always more difficult to re-sell a sportscar than a sedan/wagon/van - even though they may be in the same price-range.
let's be honest, most sportscars are "abused" (driven hard, modified etc.) - buyers know that.
personally, i have no problem paying $27,000 for a 1-2 year old used sedan that had an msrp of 32,000 (like the S2K).
but, i don't know if i would buy a used sportscar for the same price, similar mileage, condition etc.
also, the time of year doesn't help your cause either - but you already know that.
just for comparison, boxsters are real bargains in toronto these days.
be patient...it will sell.
just my 2 cents

Extended warrenty or standard? 23k miles is a lot considering for another 6 grand you can get a new one. A lot of the cheap sports car market is out of work right now. Guys like me were buying these things like crazy a year ago but today's shopper is a lot more cautious.
