Default Why not just replace the mufflers?

I'd like to have a little (again, little) more of an aggressive tone from the exhaust on my S. I'd also like to retain the oem tips. Has anyone experimented with just replacing the factory muffs with aftermarket ones? I understand that I won't be gaining power but I also won't be out 1000 (or more) bucks.

go to a muffler shop and have them cut the resonator out and weld in a matching pipe to the stock piping very simply and will make the car a tid bit louder and more aggresive

even easier then removing the resonator....get a test pipe ($80) or even a high flow cat from berk ($200) That will probably give you a nice tone with the least amount of money and work

Just get a test pipe and go straight pipe after that.

or just cut the mufflers off. It'll be the cheapest. Free!

you don't do smog anyways with the cars equipped with OBD II, so you'll pass as long as you don't get a lack of cat cel.
