Why not just replace the mufflers?

remove your resonator. It makes the tone a lot more aggressive but pleasant enough to drive with. Have a muffler shop cut the resonator and weld a pipe in it's place. No performance gains or loss. It is lighter i guess haha. nothing to do with emissions or passing smog. Easy $20-$40 depending on the shop you go to.

I paid $35, it does sound just right. loud enough but not too quiet.

You might get the sound you're looking for at the other end of the car. A CAI, or even running with an open and/or gutted airbox might be all that you need to do for a more aggressive sound.

dosent matter, im going FI soon

Well I glad you're excited about it, but on topic, did the CAI give a more aggresive sound? How about the test pipe?

i got the k&n 57 series and it sounds very good,
i would start with that and remove the res.

resonators being removed is smart, test pipe is not

testpipe will need to have the car retuned or it will run shitty

I noticed a large difference with the CAI (AEM V2). Much louder under the hood. Deeper.

The test pipe gave it the growl... like the 350Z has... that throatyness in the exhaust note.
