I would still take an Elise over a Z06. I like cars that require drivers not cars so powerfull that the car drives itself.

I love the Elise and would have a hard time choosing between it and a Z06, but I have to take issue with your second sentence. Try to use that 405 hp exiting a tight corner in the rain and then come back and tell us about how the Z06 "drives itself".

Apples with Apples, my ignorant friend.

Comparing a $100k+ "race prepped" S2000 to a stock elise says nothing at all.

Compare your "race prepped" car to a $100k MotorSport Elise or (or even a $50k Exige) and see what kind of figures you get.

The S2000 is not necessarily is the best. Its a matter of personal preference. I personally like the S2000 because of how it feels, handles and the high reving motor. You will feel every part of the road in it, some people like it and others complain about the bumpy ride like my passengers. But who cares how they feel, its how I feel, the driver. It does not have much of a luxury in it, but it has the base essentials A/C, CC, radio and a power top and nice curves. It has a bootie that I wanna drive hard hehe. I say for the price, it is well valued as a purist sports car who does not have a deep pocket. I love it.
