Default Why should I buy one?

I'm in the market for a new car & you would think I would know the answer 2 my own question but unfortunately I don't. "Why should I spend $32,000 for a S2k when I could buy a 2000+ BMW 3-series coupe for about the same price & get more seats and more prestige?" I am completely in love with both cars but I can't bring myself to spend $32,000 + on a Honda even though I am a Honda owner already. I need some convincing if anyone can help please write me back.

On the other hand, if you are worried about prestige, you will probably be happier with a slower/heavier BMW than being constantly rev'ed by riced out Civics.

My 3 cents,
Tanq

i too was faced with the same dilemma so i test drove both, and the 3 series 2001 model felt very luxurious, after driving it longer it kinda felt like my accord coupe, so i stuck with the s2000, never owning a roadster i love my first, and probably my last roadster.

S2 is so much more fun to drive. I too was going to get a 3 series, but I found the non-M3s nice, but boring to drive.

I second this suggestion.

once you do that, you'll know whether you need to buy it RIGHT THEN AND THERE or it might not be for you at all.

You like going roof down?
Like the idea of 9000 rpm's? If not, go for the 3 series. They are like apples and oranges.
Mine is the best purchase Ive made since my marraige liscense.

And you definitely came to the wrong place if you are looking for an objective opinion. We are mostly true S2000 enthusiasts here.

Many of us seem to value the high adrenaline ride over the prestige factor!
