you don't say what year you have (or I missed it), but there is a TSB related to this.

There is an adjustment that determines how far down the top goes and some cars did not have this adjusted properly. As a result, the top sticks up further than it should, making the tonneau cover harder to put on and even when you do get it on, the cover tends to pop off.

I took it to the dealer to be adjusted per the TSB, but some people say it's fairly easy to do if you have the right tool(s).

Also, if you get a copy of the TSB it tells you how to check whether the top is adjusted correctly or not, so you can determine if that is the problem.

Does anyone know how I can test to see if my top is lowered properly? and if it's not, does anyone know how I can adjust it? I don't have warranty on my car so I can't get any TSB done.

what TSB ? on 2002 models as well ?

another thing that sucks is that with the cover on, you can't open the top "glove compartment" fully anymore

Huh?

I'm with the other MY01 owners. I use it all the time and the only problem I have is the driver's side occasionally popping up. I'm assuming after the TSB, that won't be an issue anymore.

Getting it on... minor hassle at the most.

I've got an '02 and it used to take me about 60 seconds to do. I had the boot cover replaced because it kept popping up in the back and while it stays down now (it has loinger plastic tabs then my original one) it is harder to take off then before. After it is broken in it will probably be easier to use but with my luck it will start to pop up again.

I use mine all the time when I have the top down. I have always hated the look of a conv. with the top down and the top is showing. It is very difficult to put on the first time, but if you leave it on overnight, it will stretch and become easier after 2-3 times. I can put it on in aroung 30-45 sec. now.

I second Porsche951's comment about being caught in a downpour. All of the snaps disengage easily but one. The last time I took it off, I was so p***ed after about 5 minutes working on it I had to take a coffee break to keep from taking my pry bar to it. The boot now resides under the bed in our spare bedroom.
