When I first got my 02, tried to put it on ..... could not .... kept it in the trunk .... realized that reduced the usable trunk space .... now in closet so I have it if, or when, it is sold.

5 minutes?

It takes me less than a minute to put it on OR pull it off. That also includes the time to get it in/out of the trunk.

Reading this thread has validated my very simple three step process for the beautiful faux leather boot cover:
1. Fold cover in half
2. Place on shelf in garage
3. Leave it there forever
Mine sort of folds up like a big bow tie...and sits on a shelf in the garage collecting dust just like yours.

Alright well probably less than 5 minutes. Just stating it is very easy and don't understand how people can find it difficult to install..

Ha - I haven't used mine in about 8 years. I think I may try it out again. It did pop out all the time which was rather annoying.

well given the S2000 is the first "convertable" car they have ever made...i blame this problem due to their lack of experience.
Although at first i thought having the cover on was a much better ...i eventually learned to live without it.
no hassle of taking it on or off....and YOU can't even see it....but with a little patiance its not all that hard of a task.

but you are true..it's a bitch

S600, S800, and the Beat are all convertibles.

I found a way to make it really easy to take on and off.... it's just a subtle way I push on it a specific way.

I thought the tonneau cover was like an "ownership certificate". You keep it stored and pass it to the new owner at the time of sale.

I tried to put it once, couldn't, and that's it... I think a video of this job being done under a minute would make a great contribution. The manual is useless.
