Is your top going all of the way down? There are a couple of elastic straps that pull the bow over your head down. Those straps get stretched out rather rapidly. Look at how far down your top is. Then put the top and try pushing that bow back as you lower the top and see if it goes down farther than before.

These elastic straps have been mentioned in a couple of posts.

I put mine on all the time when I know the tops going to be down the entire trip.

1) It *looks* much better
2) it keeps the dust (and bugs) out.
3) It shouldn't take you more then 1 minute to put on.

Honestly, you should be using it. I'm actually amazed that people cant figure it out 0.o

Back in 1999 when this thing first came out you would be taken out back and beaten for not being able to put the boot on the car after paying $38000 for the thing

i use my cover religiously, i had an incident where my passenger was smoking and threw her bud out the window while the top was down. The cigarette bud somehow managed to logde itself in between two folded sections of convertable top and almost burned a whole clear through the material. Never again shall i ride without my cover or let anyone smoke in the car.

mine fit like crap. from being folded in half, it was all warped. i think it would fit better if you let it sit in the sun unfolded before you put it on. put it on once for about 5 min, then took it off.
now i have a better "boot" to cover the top down, an oem hardtop. keeps the soft top clean
