Why you should not "have" an S2000.
my parents bought me this car, does that mean i don't deserve it or shouldn't have it?
very simple minded of you.
so every gift ever given to you, you don't deserve.
posts like these do very well of deterring actually enthusiasts of this car.
what do people think when they come to this website and see all the reasons why they shouldn't get this car?
you guys seem more immature than i do and im probably half your age

I totally agree! I am a 26 year old who was given the gift of college by my parents ... a gift that certainly was expensive, but entirely appreciated -- one that helped me help myself. Proof - when I went to graduate school, I paid my own $40k, and even when scrounging for change, and eyeing dog food b/c I was poor and hungary, didn't ask for my parents help, though they would have given it in a second.
Bottom line... if you have money and want to help your kids - send them to school, and instill in them the meaning of money, but certainly don't give them all the comforts of home, and PLEASE don't give them a powerful RWD roadster!!!! My insurance will just go up when smash it.

why must there always be an age issue when regarding the ownership of a high performance vehicle?
i experienced this with my rx-7 and i thoguht it would be different with the s2000 but its all the same.
it may be an unfair assumption but it seems that there is a jealousy issue.

Barry very well put. I think its the feeling of invincibility that is the problem. Although younger adults do have a sense of invisibility, and when you mix that with a high performance rwd sportscar it's a recipe for disaster. However, I've also meet older adults that suffer from the same invincibility syndrome. Know your limits and the S is fun to drive. Push your limits and the S will bite you.
