Default Wierd experience with Spoonsports website

I was on the Spoon website just looking to see how much their parts were for some particular items. Apparently they have no prices so I go through the order procedure to get estimates on the items i wanted. I even made a note as to "just inquiring about specific prices."....not wanted to buy. I left no cc info or anything.

Anyways, they ppl there are really slow because a week or two later, i get a response saying, "thank you for your ORDER. Please email us back for your correct address for shipping!" I was thinking to myself, "what the hell? I didnt order anything from them! I didnt even leave my cc number!"

So anyways, I dont know what to make of this. Were they able to get ahold of my cc number and charge it? I dont even think this should be possible. I have never ordered from them before.

Has anyone else had this same/similar experience with this site's response?

Who knows, maybe they made a mistake ....and maybe I should give them my address so i get these parts for free?

Someone try finding out prices from them pleaseeeee.....id like to see if they misinterpret your inquiry as an order.

did you go to spoonsports.com or spoonsports.ca??? The ".ca" i believe is run by AJ Racing out in B.C. They also have there own home website with contact info. If you went to ".com" its run by some guy named Eric Bauer with a Hotmail address for contact info. kind of wierd?

why don't you contact any of the sponsors? Import Development, R&D Motorsports, and IPS Racing are all authorized Spoon dealers. If you're looking for someone in Canada, call up A&J Racing at 604-279-0329 and they'll help you out or refer to a dealer near you.

no no,,,,I went to spoonsports.co.jp.

Mingster, I DID go to the board sponsors first! I just coudlnt find any info on development of the products. All I got were prices and some pictures. I checed on your site as well and couldnt find anything.

I also contacted someone here about purchasing the spoon stuff I wanted (he also deals with A&J) but he didnt have any R&D info I was looking for.

So with that, I decided to just go straight to the source.

And since I was already there at the site, I might as well get some prices from them, u know? It coudnt hurt to ask, I guess. A good consumer should always exhaust every avenue of obtaining a product, no? LOL....Call me a cheapskate, im just a poor university student

Yeah, that would be the site in Japan. Anyhow, I would have just sent them my address and see what arrives. What product are you looking for more information on?

Yeah, that happened to me too, but what they did was refer me to some authorized Spoon distributor. I didn't intend to buy anything either...

I was just inquiring mostly about the 4 pot Al. calipers and the Spoon air duct. Prices and what not.....

I also wanted to find out if someone WERE to purchase the calipers would the brake master cylinder have to be replaced as well? U know, just to provide enough brake fluid pressure to the calipers? I think I read somewhere that braking actually got worse when they added a 4 piston caliper to replace the stock. I beleive it was the first Comptech s2000. And, I dont beleive spoon produces their own brake master cylinder. If they do, they dont list it in their website.

Mingster, I was just referring to your website. I looked at all the sponsors websites and none had the info i was looking for so i went to the spoon website and they DID have some info there. You guys are already busy as it is so I decided to do some more research and try to find out the info myself....

I hope it doesnt seem like im snubbing the sponsors on this board or anything, its just that SOMETIMES its cheaper to not buy from the U.S because of the concerns I mentioned. If there was a way to get prices the same as we can get it here (through authorized dealers)...I would definitely buy from sponsors more than I already am....

anyways, thanks in advance if u can answer that 4 pot caliper question I have
