I got a quote from A&J on the calipers a while back and it was somewhere around 2 grand USD, if I remember correctly.

Can't answer the other questions.

s2oooboy,

I have had the Spoon 4 pot aluminum calipers since August... and the Spoon CF Air Duct since March...

I believe the prices on the calipers has dropped quite a bit recently... so you're best off asking Mingster or A&J Racing. As for the CF Air Duct, I believe it is still extremely difficult to get a hold of one...

The Spoon calipers are actually designed to work with the stock brake master cylinder (actually, all the calipers that Spoon produces for various Hondas are meant to be used with the stock brake master cylinders)... unlike the Brembos tested on the first Comptech S2000. I think it may be part of the reason why the specs are not a huge increase over stock, as many ppl on the board often point out when comparing it to several S2K specialty braking systems. A&J Racing knows a lot of the technical details on most of the Spoon parts... so it's best to contact them. Speaking as a longtime owner... I absolutely love the Spoon calipers. Are they the ultimate? Probably not... but they are a HUGE improvement designed to enhance the existing brake system... and more importantly, they just plain look COOL in that Spoon BLUE!

The Japan spoon website is not always translated correctly - they actually will normally send you a quote or "Estimation" as they call it. This will be a list of the parts you were interested in and the prices. I was also a bit unsure of what it was all about.

They will I am sure not deliver anything without some definite sign of payment!!

Wasn't there some concern with ABS working with the 4-pot calipers?

I can also add that if anybody is thinking of ordering Spoon Sports parts, please check out Eric's site at: www.spoonsports.com

He is extremely trustworthy and I have no hesitation in recommending him. He ordered me a pair of B16A Type R cams and didn't even ask for any money up front. What's more, when he ordered them, I was living in Australia at the time. Basically, he goes out of his way to make sure you are happy.

Just a suggestion.

Cheers,

Thanks Spoon AP1,

Thats exactly what I needed to know! Also, since Wesmaster brought it up, ARE u having problems with ABS at all? Im sure the brakes feel alot more solid than before. Also, do u have stainless steel brakelines?

My gf in Vancouver tried to contact A&J for me directly but had a hard time getting ahold of anyone to talk to so maybe I'll just email Ben. Im assuming you know him pretty well? Can u ask him when the cf ducts will be ready?.....Ive been waiting ages for them!
