Window seal rip?

i don't think shin-etsu will prevent it...the rubber is thinner than a strand of hair...i expect it to rip just by looking at it.

my my03 had the exact same thing on both sides

in the my05 i have now, it seems they beefed up that
area with thicker rubber, no problems with it ripping.
it was one of the 1st things i noticed when i got the new
car.

On my 2001 S, I prevented it from ripping by building up Shin Etsu grease. Kept it in new condition with no rips for 3.5 years until I traded it. But on my 05, it came torn already.. =\

It's pure luck. I keep my seals nice and lubed up. Still got the rip.
