Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute...You mean my car is not two tone????? You mean I can remove that black around my windshild and the stock color is under neath???? man, I was thinking at some time I was going to have to take it some where, get a color match and then get it painted to match....Is there a how to on this? Or, is it just a s simple as find an endge and pull? I already have stuff that removes glue adhesive from when I de loggoed my eclipse.
yes, you are right, just find the edge and pull.

You have to open the door to see the black tape on the bottom of the windshield.

I removed the tape as well. The procedure is easy, but two things will make it much easier...a blow dryer and GOO GONE.

Start by heating the tape with the blow dryer at one end (close to either door jamb where the tape starts). Peel away slowly as you use the blow dryer to soften the glue. After all the tape is off, use the Goo Gone (rubbing alcohol works well also) to remove the glue residue.

Ive been tempted to try this also. When i bought my car the original owner actually said he has drop something scratching the tape. So when he took it in to the dealer and the replaced it the new stuff was a diffrent shade of black. So he then had them replace it all the way around.

But he said the had to take the windshield out to install it and it cost him $600 bucks.

Making me hesitant about removing it.

Hasnt a few people had there paint look like crap under the tape?

I took mine off because it looks better with the hardtop, but i do think it looks odd with the soft top up, top down its ok. I wish i could have it black for the soft top months and blue for the hardtop months.

It looks good when you have a hardtop painted to match with no tape. imo
