A friend of mine, Chamzo in S2KI land, just took the tape off of his new blue S2000. While there are some fixable un-clearcoated areas in the paint underneath, I think it looks great.

try giving him a PM on the subject.

However, if you search on "windshield tape" you will find a few horror stories.

So "you feeling lucky punk"?

cheers,

if you have a hardtop, it looks quite a bit better - you can check out the photos in the pics forum to see easily.

if not, I dont see all that much of an improvement to justify the risk.

Why do some come with and others without the tape? When I bought my '01 it did not. We had our first meeting around here in June and a couple guys were asking me how I got my tape off. Didn't know what they were talking about till they pointed it out.

The only problem BlueS2000Boy is if you don't like how it looks, you can't undo what you've done.

Just open one of the doors and find the bottom of the tape and begin pulling. It will be in 3 different sections. Just get some bug and tar remover to get all the excess glue off when you get the tape off.
