Winter Driving

Winter Driving
This is directed towards the people who live in cold climates(where it snows). Would you guys drive an S2k in the winter time w/ hardtop and snow tires?

ABSOLUTELY! 6th winter, daily driver, coming up.
Snow tires are a MUST. Hardtop is nice but not required. Extra driving precautions and skills are required.
This car can be just as much fun if not MORE in winter than in summer.

Jingle Bells, Baby!
PS. It is NOT my only car. I CHOOSE to drive it all winter.

3 winters now and still going strong. Only need 4 Blizzaks, and driving skill.
No hardtop here but I have the glass rear window so that is a must. The platic would be really painful. It is my only car so essentially no weather stops this S from going where it wants to.
As xviper says, winter can be a lot of fun.

the hardtop is not necessary. the car warms up quickly and stays plenty warm. between temps dropping to -20 and tons of snow, snow tires are all you need.
also I prefer nokian hakka II's. they fared much better for me than the blizzaks.

I've tried it. you can't turn for crap. while you may get traction on the rear wheels, the front wheels will do nothing for you. you'll try to turn and instead you'll just keep going straight into a snowbank.
and i tried using the S03's one winter. After 1 decent snowfall, I had to get winter tires. The S02's and S03's are utterly useless in snow. Even an inch of snow, and you might as well be riding a saucer sled, because at least that might be fun.
