Default Winter front end protection

I've done a search, but couldn't come up with any ideas on this.

Unfortunately, a second vehicle is not an option so I will be driving the S through most of the winter. I'm a little worried about sand and salt being kicked up and blown all over my front bumper. I've thought about getting one of the clear "bras" installed, but I have a few minor rock chips as it is and I'm not sure if a clear bra is an option at this point. I've thought about a standard vinyl bra, but it seems that they're a bad idea because they don't look right, they don't fit right, and they may damage the paint underneath if dirt or sand gets trapped between the bra and the paint.

Anyone else have any recommendations?
