Do any boarders run the S2K all winter in northern US.

If so what is your tire/wheel combo and your final verdict?

Yes. I use Blizzak LM-22's on stock rims and never, ever lose control! Even on ice. Very awesome tires.

I use the stock wheels with stock tires. I've been able to get around as long as I barely give gas through turns with heavy snow. I definitely dont' recommend doing this, but it is possible to get home if you encounter minor snow.

The stock tires are horrible in any winter condition. Cold, ice, snow are not friendly at all - This is very dangerous to the average driver. If you have to drive it often during the winter get snow tires. Best option is to garage it till it gets a little warmer.

I run LM-22s (stock sizes) on a second set of factory rims.

These are the new generation H rated Blizzaks.

Total winter happiness from slow snowy city conditions to over 100 mph on the highway.
