Winter Storage Help!
Hey guys I have an 02 S2000 and this is the first winter that I have owned the car. I am not going to drive it and I plan on storing it but I was wondering if anyone had any special tips/tricks to help me out? Should I start the engine twice a month and let the engine idle to normal operating temp in order to keep the engine seals ok?
I know I should probably throw some jack stands under the car and take off the tires but truthfully my tires are SHOT!!! and I have brand new S02's but all the shops in my area are backed up with winter tires. Would it be ok if I let the car just sit on its tires? I know this is bad for the tires but the I don't care about the tires. What about the rims?
Any other storage tips for winter from Canadian or northern US owners would be great!!
Thanks guys!!!
Evan

I have heard that storing the car on jacks is hard on the shocks but that leaving it on the tires is hard on the tires. People put sheets of plywood under the tires to keep them off the damp concrete. If you dont' car about the tires, just leave it on them.
Do people put fuel stabilizer in cars while in storage? Otherwise, with bike storage, we would wash the bike, change the oil, and put the battery on a battery tender. This has to be a good search topic.
