Default Winterizing your Car

Yes I did the search before you flame me.

I was lucky to find out that I got a beater Dodge Dakota that I can drive this winter. Yes, I'd like to drive my S all year, but I'm worried about the other idiots and that first snow fall where wrecks are more common than a Larry King marriage (I just made that one up).

I was thinking of getting a car cover, the S will be garaged. I read where someone takes off the wheels? Woh. That might be too extreme. What do you guys do? This smilie thing is cool ->

Don't take off the wheels. The suspension will be "unloaded" in an unnatural manner. Pump a few extra #'s of air into them and roll them onto 4 pieces of thick carpet.
