Does anybody know if I'll rub (not lowered and lowered at most 1") if I get the S-03's (225/4018 & 255/35/18)?

Really? Sweet, they should be here w/the tires hopefully in a week & a half. I'm planning on lowering it, however I want to put them on first to see how low I should go. What's the lowest you recommend Tim? I'm leaning towards kg/mm (dual rates .6" or 1.3") or H&R (.75") springs.

Your replies has always been helpful for me & for that I appreciate it. A couple of us DFW peeps (Insomniak, RedDevilS2000, DeeGYM & myself) are thinking about driving down to Houston for a weekend after hearing those "Houstook" stories of yours...hehe

HondaGuy,

Nice choice in wheel by the way...I love the Work Meister dimensions (18x8 +51mm & 18x9 +60mm). Those are the best dimensions for a natural aspirated S2000 in my opinion.

I'm not sure what is the lowest you can lower the S2000 with the Work Meister wheels. I put the Comptech coil overs in my S2000, and I have no idea of how much I lowered my car. Put up a post and ask what kind of springs, and how low people drop their s2000's with the Work Meister wheels.

You should be good to go with an inch drop. By the way, are the workmeisters three piece?

Yeah, head down to houston anytime bud! Insomniac has my cell phone number.

HondaGuy,

I don't know if 100% of the workmiester wheel is forged, but I'm guessing that some peices are...the wheel is still decently light weight.

For a supercharged S2000, I would perfer to run 18x10 in the rear to get a wide ass tire. But, since most 18x10 wheels are close to $1,000 a peice, and 265/35/18 (10.2 inch S02 tread width) or 285/30/18 (11.1 inch S02 tread width) aren't cheap sizes either...going down that road is costly. 18x9 with some badass 255/35/18's should work great also. I just checked the 255/35/18 S03 specs, and the tread width is 9.4 inches.

Sweet, just remember when you try to hook me up, tell them my physical description (Not that you'll care to remember all this...hehe) Vietnamese, 5'10" 187 pounds of rippling muscles (ok that last part was a lie), short black hair & eyes...Damn, I'm bored at work. Can you tell?

OK, thanks for all the help guys. Here's an update.

I went back to my distributor and he showed me the offsets he ordered. He pulled out the Works Sales Guide which had all the Work Wheels and fitments in Japanese. He showed me the S2000 fitment page. There is only one fitment for the 18" Work Meister 2 piece wheel. Front +53 and Rear +61. He said that there is only one fitment for the s2000 in 18" and they are the ones he ordered.

We agreed to return the Falken GRB's and try a tire that has a thinner tread block design or try 215/40's at the front.

The car is not lowered and they don't scrape unless the suspension is fully compressed. (ie Hard Tight Corners)

Hopefully I can get this sorted. I've never had a car that required so much guess work.

BTW The two piece is has forged centres.
