Sime,

I've just tried to put the whole thing out of my mind! All I can think of is all that money could have been put to making the car faster/better handling/etc. and I cringe.

This is a perfect, but not the worst, example of lack of aesthetic integration. All of these add ons-add up to something less, not more, aesthetically pleasing, which is why, IMHO, they don't work. Subtlety is often the most dramatic form of expression, a point that seems to be lost on the people who do these things to their cars.

On the other hand, I also believe that cars, for better or worse, are, in fact, one of the most powerful forms of self-expression in our culture. This man is making a statement about himself as much as anything else. For that reason, I'm reluctant to be critical, because I know how subjective taste can be. If it makes him happy, I suppose that's what matters most.

Rick,
I agree with you to the point that too many people are doing that type change to their cars to attract attention to themselves. I worry about the basic psychology of someone who craves attention to the point that they will harm the performance of their performance car by adding weight and turbulance of the airflow.

Well, ya all got it wrong... this is what happens when a camaro dates and gets a one nights stand with and s2k, boom nine months later a freakazoid is born... way over done i must say, too much money too much time on their hands.
P.s. i like the navi/lcd mount, where can i get that done?
