Default Worth it?

http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv...215070357.html

Going to buy it for $14k, it has 78k on the clock right now. It has been in a minor accident, but it was repaired and has a clean title, I test drove the car already and it is pretty immaculate. Has a clear bra on the whole front end, brand new megan racing coilovers, new soft top, oem lip kit. Is this a good deal or should I shop around some more?

I'd try to get him to drop to 12. 78k is a few miles for 14k

You can do better if it's been in an accident.

Actually not a bad price. Counting for the new soft top especially. I'm pretty sure you can work him down a little bit but considering all the new parts you mentioned it won't be much. Mileage is a little high for an 04, just hope it was mostly highway. For better comfort, get a compression/leakdown test to be sure everything is in proper order.

Thats too much.
To me that car is worth $12K but a decent buy at $13K.

Too much. I paid $1k more for a car without mods and 60k less on the clock, plus no accident, same year.

I talked a dealer down to $14,800 for an 04' Berlina Black with 14,000 miles. They had a sticker of $17,900...You can do better, they're desperate to sell these days cause of the economy. You just have to know how to haggle.

Yeah, if its a private seller, you definitely pay less than that. If its a dealer, try and work in a extended warranty package of some sort.
