Worth getting Coilovers?
I still like the Megan coilovers, I'm just thinking springs/shocks may be a better (simpler/more comfortable) street setup. I'm liking the sounds of H&R springs, my friend has them on his M3 and I love how they ride. I've also been looking at Swift springs, but there hasn't been a whole lot of feedback regarding them. I had coilovers on my last car and they were a pain to adjust. What do you think of the Koni's? Are they easy to adjust and how is it done?
If you are going coilovers, one additional question you need to ask yourself... do I need adjustable camber plates? I just bought a new set with the camber plates for you to slide back and forth... too many variables to adjust for street IMHO!

So I'm not really getting a straight answer. It seems that people would rather stay away from the coilovers, but would the chassis stiffening components make a difference?
I've already been in a Auto-X competition with modded Integras, RSX's, ITR's, Civics, and came in 9th out of 30... the bug has bitten me... lol. So I was wondering if those components would help improve my Auto-Xing times.

You are just throwing money away if you don't do this right. You can make the car handle worse if you don't know what you are doing. This is not an RSX or Integra totally different cars. The chassis is already incredibly stiff on this car adding braces and such are a pure waste of money. Leave it stock. It seems that you want ot mod it just to mod it look at the guys here who track there car and see what they are doing. Most will and are saying leave it stock.

I'm in the same boat at it seems most people are. I love the stock suspension and track the car every once in a while, but I hate wheel gap especially with aftermarket wheels... Its like being between a rock and a hard place.
If Autocrossing is important to you, I'd recommend you read the rulebook closely to see what you can do while staying in the stock class (front sway bar, diff. shocks but not springs when I quit doing it). Once you cross the line into Street Prepared (all it takes is one "wrong" mod that doesn't help much), it can get pretty expensive keeping up w/ everyone else's mods.
My $.02...get the stickiest rubber you can find, learn how fine-tuning your tire pressure F/R affects the handling balance, learn the car's existing limits, then start thinking about other mods. Like others have said, it's very easy to make things worse if you don't know what you're doing.

from my understanding.. really crappy coilovers / just lowering springs will lower the car, but make it handle worse...
your medium priced coilovers (1200 - 2200) will allow you to lower the car and retain the great handling of our stock suspension.. and then your high performance coilovers (zeal etc) will improve apon stock..
also, some of the reasons why people ruin the handling of there s2k's is not really cause they bought cheap coilovers, but that they slammed the hell out of there cars (2.0in + drop) without changing anything else (ie adding roll center adjusters etc), and threw off the geometry of the car.... just a guess tho
anyway, i have got JIC FLTA2 coilovers on my 06..... they did not make the handling any worse, but by no means did they greatly improve it either.... it just got more firm and alittle bit more stable on the highway, and i get more feedback and a more responsive feel from my steering wheel.... but the huge plus is my 1.5? or so in drop... which IMO looks dead sexy... im very happy with my purchase.. i got to drop my car abit, and get alittle bit more handling out of my car..

So I'm accumulating all your $0.02 and making a few dollars on this and realizing that leaving the car stock for Auto-Xing is the way to go, unless you're going to spend a good amount of money on Coilovers that are track proven... meaning $$$$... lol.
