Would this beat the S2k?
I highly doubt it will be turbocharged. It will get a NA K20 or K24 and will still be outclassed by nearly all the other cars in its price range. This is the way Honda works now.
And if it does "beat" an s2000... whooptie doo.

I have a hard time beleiving the Mustang can give you 300k miles without changing the engine.
Better quality is one thing, but bullet proof reliability is something else
Now if you tell me "who cares" about putting 300k miles......... I don' tknow how many ppl can afford to change cars every 5 years or so, especially $30k cars. Unless they lease them........

Um, so you think Ford hasn't put a bullet proof engine in every V8 Mustang over the past 25 years? Do you draw your conclusions from facts
There are more Hondas with over 200k miles than Fords.
How's that for proof?
I won't argue with you anymore on this because I know where it's heading.....
But comparing Fords reliability to Honda or Toyota reliability is useless. Everyone knows Japs are more reliable
And by they way, you have a Munstang with over 300k miles to show? With just one engine...... and not too many reparis done to the car. I got my 1992 Accord to prove it, can you prove your case?

thats a refresh? wow they added some windows to the coupe. There has been hype every year since like 2000 that every new si coming out will be turbo. Just dont get your hopes up, its possible but very unlikely.
I love my s2000 the same reason I love the rx-7 over the rx-8. I love the style, its cheaper and for that money I can mod my car a million ways to make it faster than paying brand new. But that goes hand in hand with being a car enthusiast, I hate paying for other people to do my car work.
Admit it, a used s2000 can be had for like 8k. High Miles, but still $8,000.
If I was looking for a new amazing car for a decent price that would carry the groceries home, I'd have to go with a new v6 mustang, or if price isn't an issue I'd love a 5.0 in a good color scheme.
After all these years of mustang kids talking mad crap to me, they finally have something to brag about, except its likely daddys car if its a kid. I'd love the mustang for the mileage and power, but I love my s2000. I have a fetish for two seaters because I can cock block people from getting free rides cause I'm anti social and don't like kids who annoy me being in my car
. The s2000 also just feels so much more fun to corner in than a mustang.
I respect peoples opinions in cars, but if I am sitting in yo civic, ima make fun of your gay speedometer in its own window of yo dash.
So to answer your question, who gives a rats ass if it can beat an s2000. Have fun cornering in that boat!

If I'm driving a civic, I would rather drive this, only in Europe right now.

what do you mean by beat?
In gas mileage and for the slow title, then yes.
S2ks aren't considered a FAST car, just a faster honda =(
They are more of a daily driver than anything, but a SI fails in all aspects due to it being fwd
fail
