I was looking at the hardtop on my dad's car today and there is what looks like a rough rip in the paint, it isn't deep, and doesn't dip into the metal. It is black, and looks like it could be a scratch. I was wondering if under the yellow paint there is a black layer? or would this most probably be stuck on dirt?. If it is should be dirt, soap and water, with elbo grease didn't seem to get it off. Any recommendations for removing it?.... thx

 

Try some cleaner wax or light compound wax.
