Yes, I'd buy an S2000 with no ST just the HT - essentially a coupe S2000 unless I left the top at home.

No, I want an S2000 that has a soft top in it, even if I had a HT shell I could put on.

It's funny... never saw myself driving a convertible, but now that I have an S I can't really see myself even not have a sports car with a folding roof. The drive I took last night is a good example why....

No. Would you buy one without the motor for the same price as one with it?

I would buy the topless one, but for at least 1500 less.

to make it fair, you would have to compare the two cars like any other car companies when they offer a coupe and convertable. convertable normally cost more than coupe. i would get the coupe because it looks better (imo), weigh lighter and hadles better than a convertable and it will cost less

on a side note

in a real world car purchase situation, i would definitely stay the eff away from the s2000 without the soft top because it most likely means the car was probably tracked and beaten on a consistent basis

I had a HT with my last convertible. There were LOTS of times I'd take it off during a weekend trip, or even in the evening, and get surprised by the weather. I imagine that'd be even worse elsewhere.

Plus, lots of people are weird about parking with the top down. Depending where you live, I might not want to park without a roof either.
