I wouldn't buy the S if it was a coupe or only came with a removable hard top.

One of the main reasons I bought the car was because it was a convertible. However, when my soft top craps out or is cut/tore, I am going to get a hardtop and probably remove the soft top altogether.

I don't need a top at all.

As much as I absolutely LOVE the look of the S2K with a hardtop, and it's far nicer looking then the softtop, I still think this car looks damn good. I have two problems with the hardtop though. One: the price of one. If this was my daily driver, I would get one. Two: the fact that I drive 90% of the time with the top down, so it can't work. I wish it was a retractable hardtop like they have available on the Miata. That would make it the ultimate dream car for me. If it ever becomes my daily, I'll get one, but there's no way I'd put my baby through winter like that, and being a convertible is a big reason why I got the car.

Still though, a factory hardtop on this car is amazing, and if I had a few grand floating around, I'd get one.
