yea, but thats just peak HP. a lot of cars produce 100hp/liter throughout most of its RPM band.

not gonna lie, i love this car and everything about it but its definitely missing low end power and torque.

The Bugatti is also not an naturally aspirated motor. It isn't on the same category when comparing hp vs. liter. If that's the case, the 1.3L rotary int he RX7 would trump pretty much any car out there.

When was the price of a new s2k $14,000?

The F20C engine developed 120 HP per liter.
It held the record for the highest specific output for a naturally aspirated production piston engine for ten years.
It wasn’t until Ferrari unveiled the 458 Italia with 125 HP per liter at the 2009 Frankfort Motor Show that a new record was set

well, that's how much i bought mine for, and rotary is a different kind of engine type, the veyron is turbo, you can turbo an s2k, you cant "rotary" an s2k, different engine types shouldn't be compared, and i think the veyron has a v16 motor the s2k has an I-4, (relatively the same layout, s2k is just much smaller), whereas rotary is different.

Of course rotary is a different engine type, and so is the engine of a Bugatti Veyron. It's a turbocharged motor, whereas our S2000 is a naturally aspirated one.

When comparing hp per liter, you must compare similar engine types.
N/A with N/A
Rotary with Rotary
Turbocharged with Turbocharged (possibly Supercharged as well)

Otherwise almost any turbocharged car like the Evo or the SRT-4 make more power per liter than us. It doesn't work that way.

Actually, there's a naturally aspirated Suzuki made abroad that makes even more horsepower per liter than both the S2000 and the Ferrari. It's not very well known.

I also read that the s2k had the highest mean piston speed of any car ever built as well, i do not know if this stands

^ which n/a cars are you referring to that produce over 100 hp/liter throughout most of the power band?

not going to talk about torque, since it's non-existent in our cars, but that's the joy of a car like the s, we have to rev it high.
