But why the only jack points are on the sides? Using the frame rails is equally acceptable. That is the strongest point of the car.
There are two Honda-designated, specific jack points on each side. There are also jack points at the bottom of the differential and under a brace in the front of the car. Six total "Honda official" jackpoints, none of which include the frame rails.

See links above to FAQs and other forums. This has been extensively discussed.

Have you even taken a close look at those "frame rails"? You'll notice that some of it is covered with a plastic shield. Under that plastic shield are channels for brake lines, fuel lines, ABS lines, etc. You'd crush them. You might even crush or dent the frame rail. But if you think you know better than Honda, by all means, use the frame rails. The rest of us, we'll use the 4 recommended side jacking points and the one under the engine frame and the other one under the rear diff.

you should have read up on the forums or even used common sense to put the jack stand on the reinforced part of the frame rail....

I jack the car up from right under the a pillar and put the jack stands under the correct points. I think jacking it up on the seam is ok but then poster jacked it up on the fender it seems. Look at the jack mark and the seam seems solid still

Who the hell can drive up a ramp? My car isn't even that low and I have to stack 2x4's in a staggered fashion.

In this warning-label-crazed society, you'd think Honda would but a little label down there.

I downloaded the Honda Factory Service Manual from www.hondahookup.com best free thing for that. I'm a novice and absolutely untrained but have installed, exhaust/tp, intake, spark plugs, water pump, thermostat, radiator, etc. it's really straightforward, and free.

Ramps aren't all the same. There are low profile ramps out there.

Then they would need a label for EVERYTHING! "Do not have fingers here when slamming door closed." "Do not drive with trunk lid unlatched." "Close front hood before driving." "Ensure all 4 wheels have tires installed before operation." "If you think you are going too fast, try pushing on the middle pedal." "Caution! If you push this button, this car will make a noise." "Do not operate vehicle on cruise control while standing on driver's seat and looking for birds through binoculars."

All Honda needs is ONE giant label plastered across the left side, over the hood, then across the right side ......................

IF YOU HAVE DIFFICULTY WALKING AND CHEWING GUM AT THE SAME TIME, DO NOT COME WITHIN 20 FEET OF THIS VEHICLE.

Come one! There's an owner's manual. There's a service manual. Try reading at least one of them. Someone mentioned "common sense" in a previous post? I'm afraid that is simply far too great a request to make in some cases.

Not to be disrespectful but if you don't even know where to jack up a car, you don't belong anywhere near one. Sell the car and ride a bike dude.
