The left rear tire is gonna cost you over 3g's alone to get fixed. Couldn't say how much the other damage is, but I imagine it's upwards of 8-9k if you were to pay a dealership to get all of it fixed (what I'd do if I had insurance). With only having liability it's a tough call on what to do. Depends on your $ resourses and what you're willing to go through to fix everything up.

Sorry about your luck. You're saying you'll never drive the car again (even when/if it's fixed)...my guess is it would be best for you to go to FWD or AWD in the future. JMO

Yea, the thing is ive always had a FWD car all my life. This is my first RWD so the hydroplane caught me off gaurd. Anyways my dad use to be a mechanic so we are going to do most of the repairs ourselves. If we end up not fixing the car, how much do you think i can make out of selling it??

Not much because it would be salvaged. I'd be surprised if you broke even after the repairs (not including the original cost of the car).

with frame and suspension damage, the For Sale forum isn't going to help at all - she's gone.

BTW, those aren't the stock tires, what kind were they?

You might have to bite this one big time. Part out the car. Sell off the drivetrain and engine and anything else you can. That plus the interior could get you a decent amount of cash. Just know that you wont ever break even in this situation. Next time get more than liability. And take it easy in the rain. Not to knock on you, I know you are in a really unfortunate situation, but this is a classic example of inexperience and should be a lesson to S2000 owners new and old.

There is no frame damage, I got the car checked out and the damage is all in the rear suspention, front bumper, and rear bumber. I need to replace the gas tank too since it is leaking.

BTW, I was going 40mph when I lost control. Are s2000s known for getting THIS ****ed up when you're not even going fast???

Fast is relative. Fast on dry pavement could mean 70 mph. Fast on the same stretch of road in icy conditions could be 10 mph.

Your comment seems ill-placed. It is like saying, "Hey, man, I just wrecked at 40mph. I can't believe that my car sustained damage!" What did you expect to run into, a barrier of Stay-Puft marshmallows? No one plans on wrecking their car.

That being said, I have seen some nasty S2000 wrecks and the passenger cell usually seems to remain it's integrity. The rest of a car is meaningless when it comes to crashes. Your wreck could have been a LOT worse.
